Teaglu is a small software development company located in Buford, Georgia - just outside Atlanta.
After spending two decades working as a consultant in both development and operations, I founded this company to concentrate on fixing problems I never found a solution for. Often the solutions out there were too large - what I needed was the old Unix methodology of "a simple tool to do one thing".
I'm told Teaglu sounds like the word for family in Gaelic, but I don't know Gaelic and that's not it.
I was trying to come up with ideas while watching Blind Spot - the one with the woman with all the tattoos - and they were always having comms problems and yelling into the radios trying to find each other.
So I thought about an app where everybody's position was on a map for an "operator" - it seems reasonable the actual FBI has such a thing. Maybe paintball people would want it, and in my head the app was called Team Glue. I never built the app... but the name morphed into something that doesn't clash on Google.
It was meant to be a placeholder, but coming up with company names is really hard.
